People sometimes think giving back is something you do once you have plenty to spare. We have found the opposite to be true. The most generous people we know are often the ones who simply decided that showing up matters.
Throughout the year, our work goes beyond scholarships and the gala. We volunteer with local women's shelters, support students through tutoring, and look for small ways to remind our neighbors that they are not alone. None of it requires being wealthy. It requires being willing.
That is the quiet joy of this work. When you give your time, your encouragement, or your support, you get something back you did not expect: the feeling of being part of something larger than yourself.
