The Jaden Blake Sports and Social Justice Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Jaden Blake, a 20-year-old native of Chicago, IL, who was a sophomore at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. Known to his friends as “King Jay” he was a stellar pole vaulter, with a passion for social justice and avid about making a difference. But he was more than an athlete; he was also a social activist and an avid blood donor.
